Happy Sunday! It’s been a cold one this week. It snowed all day Monday into Tuesday and stayed on the ground. It’s warming up today to -2C so some of it is melting away. I hope we get a White Christmas this year because it’s been green the past few.
I’ve been on leave from work all week for health reasons so I’ve had a lot of time to read (and sleep!). This week I decided to focus my attention on NetGalley approvals. I got myself to 80% feedback by Thursday but go 4 more approvals on Friday 😬
The Buzzword Readathon starts on Monday so I’m hoping to have another good reading week ahead.
- The Tenant by Katrine Engberg *ARC ★★★★
- The Wrong Sister by T.E. Woods ★★★.5
- Together We Caught Fire by Eva V Gibson *ARC ★★★★
- Bunny by Mona Awad ★★★★
- All of Us by A.F. Carter *ARC ★★
- Under the Dome by Stephen King
Currently have the audiobook from Scribd for this and I am reading along at the same time. I am 20% of the way through this and hoping to watch the television show once I am done. When the show came out years ago I did follow a long for a it but never got to the part where we find out why the dome is there.
Bought
Didn’t buy anything this week!
NetGalley
- The Look-Alike by Erica Spindler (pub date January 28 2020)
- All of Us by A.F. Carter (pub date June 12 2020)
- Miss Iceland by Audur Ava Olafsdottir (pub date June 16 2020)
- What Unbreakable Looks Like by Kate McLaughlin (pub date June 23 2020)
I’m really looking forward to Miss Iceland because it will take place in 1960 Reykjavik. I’ve visited Reykjavik twice and I love it. The Look-Alike is my priority for NetGalley approvals as it will be publishing soon. It looks like a great psychological thriller. I did end up reading All Of Us this week. It was a short one (208 pages) but took ages to read and was disappointing (review to come!). I think more pages and a little bit more planning could have made it better. Lastly, What Unbreakable Looks Like snuck into my Titles. This one is going to be hard-hitting, I can feel it.

It’s been snowing here since early October. A white Christmas would be lovely! We usually have brown Christmases because the snow melts and makes everything muddy. I hope you have a great week!
