Book Beginning: The King stood in a pool of blue light, unmoored. This was act 4 of King Lear, a winter night at Elgin Theatre in Toronto.
Page 56 (35% I don’t want to spoil myself!): Layers of graffiti, unreadable names in puffy dripping letters across blackboards, old messages: “Jasmine I… if you see this, go to my dad’s lakehouse. — Ben.” Overturned desks. A fire had darkened a corner of a classroom before someone has put it out or it died on it’s own.
Thoughts: I don’t know why I didn’t pick this book up as soon as I saw it a few years ago. One of the settings is Toronto and it’s about an pandemic that turns Earth into a post-apocalyptic setting. How cool is that? I can’t wait to see what comes next!

Sounds like a riveting post-apocalyptic drama that I’d enjoy. I like books where several stories intermingle and move back and forth in time (if they’re done well and don’t get confusing!)

The intermingling is not confusing in this one. I find it’s done quite well although the change in eah chapter does come out of nowhere.
