I feel like I have a lot of books that feature time travel! Let’s see if I can weasel it down into 5 books.
5. Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin
This one is kind of a stretch but the main character dies and travels to “Elsewhere”. It’s quite an interesting concept!
4. The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
I mean Time Traveler is in the title… if you haven’t read the book (or seen the movie) the main characters end up meeting each other at certain points on their “timelines” and fall in love and yeah.

3. Across the Universe by Beth Revis
Is this really time travel? The main character ends up cryogenically frozen for what is supposed to be a few thousand years to reach this new planet but her cryogenic capsule thing opens 200 years too early.

2. Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier
She goes back in time because she has a gift. Although due to her gift an institute makes sure they know exactly where and how long she time travels for.
1. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
You knew it was coming. Claire time travels from 1940s into 1700 Scotland as she touches the rock circle of Craigh na dunne (I totally butchered the spelling here). I highly recommend reading this book!!!

  1. Ooh! I've never heard of Elsewhere, it sounds interesting! I'll have to check it out.

  2. Somehow Outlander hadn't even crossed my mind. Anyway, you've picked some really interesting books. Here's my list: https://readingexperienceswithnora.wordpress.com/2016/03/09/t5w-books-featuring-time-travel/

  3. Great picks, Danica! I totally forgot about Across the Universe. The Time Traveler's Wife is one I've had on my shelf for so long. I've been hesitant to pick it up because, as intrigued as I am, just the synopsis makes me think it's going to be confusing and hard to follow.

I just love The Time Traveler's Wife! I haven't read it in years though so I definitely need to give it a reread. Saying that I also own the movie, but it's still in the cellophane… I own Outlander too and just need to find the time to actually read it.

  5. I love that you included Ruby Red, it's one of the best time travel books out there in my opinion. Your posts always make me want to read Outlander. I really need to do that one of these days. As always, great picks!

I didn't even think about Elsewhere until I saw it on your list! That book was so weird and interesting and I completely forgot all about it.

Wow, I've heard of Across The Universe but I've never bothered picking it up because I just thought it was a space romance: it sounds much more interesting reading your synopsis!

I loved your list. I didn't know that Across The Universe had time travel in it.

It's kind of borderline. I mean if I was frozen and woke up 1500 years in the future I'd say that feels like time travel!

It's like borderline time travel, with a space romance, and a bad spaceship government.
