This week I’m answering: I’m really upset by (book/author/bookish-news)…
Friday was a sad moment. I live in an apartment in the city which means that I am prone to cockroaches. I found that 1 of my 3 bookshelves had an infestation among all the books and I had to throw out 50 of my books. They were not salvageable. I made inventory before the tossing and hope to replenish with gift cards from the upcoming holiday season. So upsetting! I had all my Outlander and Game of Thrones books along with classics on that shelf. Also all my Colleen Hoover books. Sad times.
This week’s random question: What is on your current TBR pile?
Like most of us I am sure that are TBR piles are massive. But these are 3 books that I want to get read in the next month. I started My Lady Jane and have roughly 200 more pages to go. I feel like the action is really picking up so these should fly by when I have a spare moment to pick this book up. 1Q84 has been a book I kept passing in the bookstore and finally a few weekends ago I bit the bullet and picked it up. I decided that day that instead of finishing my current read that I would begin this monstrosity of a 1000+ page book. I’m really enjoying it’s uniqueness so far. Lastly, I want to read The German Girl. Simon and Schuster kindly sent the book to me as an ARC and it gets released October 18th. I would love to have a review up before then.
What’s on your TBR pile?
I’m sorry to hear about your books. I hope you can get the replacements soon. Enjoy the book you’re currently reading! 🙂
WOW 50 BOOKS! That’s devastating! Hopefully, you’ll be able to replace them sometime soon with new copies, right? Also, hope you’re done with the roaches infestation, ew ew ew. 1Q84 is calling my attention, but dang, 1000 pages. . .I haven’t read a book that long ever since I finished the 3rd book from Game of Thrones! Idk if I’m ready. . .
Anyway, great picks for today! 😀
