Rainy day reads? More like snowy day reads at the moment. It’s April 6th… why is it still snowing? I feel like any book is good for a rainy day. It’s the setting that invites you to read. Every time it’s raining I wish I didn’t have class so I could stay at home bundled in my blanket and read the current book I am reading.

1. One With You by Sylvia Day (The Crossfire Series)
Any romance/smutty novel is great to read on a rainy day. I recommend the Crossfire series. The last novel in the quintet came out yesterday and I am slowly devouring it.
2. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Colins
It’s one of those series that I could read over and over again. I think since I already know the story they’re fun to read through again.
3. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
Rain sometimes has an eerie vibe and the photographs that are incorporated are eerie. I feel like rain and “horror” novels are a great combination.
4. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
It’s a short but emotional read. Like above it’s a dark, mysterious read that has a great message behind it.
5. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
When you think of Scotland you think of rain. Well, at least I do. I’m two books into this series and I love to slowly devour each one. I feel like big novels are also good to read on rainy days as well as short ones. It all depends on the mood really.

  2. Great picks, Danica. I love a good, rainy day. I love it even more if I can be at home reading. Outlander is totally a rainy day book. Love that pick. And I can't believe I've yet to start the Crossfire series. Need to do that… soon!

Out of all of these books, I've only read The Hunger Games Trilogy. Thinking about it they would be good rereads for a rainy day, or any other day! 😀
