Book Hangover
def. When you’ve finished a book and you suddenly return to the real world, but the real world feels incomplete or surreal because you’re still living in the world of the book.
1. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
As soon as I finished this book I needed to start the second book right away to stay in that world but the thought of completing an 800 page book and going to the sequel that was larger seemed like too much to handle. Plus, the subject matter in the second half of the book was so graphic and took a lot out of me. Currently, slowly reading through the second book.
2. Shatter Me Series by Tahereh Mafi
For Bout of Books Readathon back in January 2015 I read the last two books of this series and the novellas in one day. Which definitely lead to a book hangover. I wrapped myself up in this world for 12+ hours and when I was done it was likeΒ “Now what?”
3. Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I remember getting the first four in this series on Book Outlet and quickly devoured them. I had to go to Chapters to get the last one. I tried to savour it but I couldn’t I sped through it. Which also left me with the “now what?” feeling. No more Daemon snarkiness.
4. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
When I was done reading this I just kind of threw it on the ground and exclaimed “Nope”.
5. Slammed by Colleen Hoover
I sobbed so hard while reading this book that when I woke up the next day it felt like I had a legit hangover.

Oh man, the Shatter Me series was just so addicting and good. We both had it on our lists so I think we understand just how it destroyed us and how we wanted more.

Oh god, The Fault in Our Stars was so…so MUCH. I knew going in what was likely to happen, but that didn't stop it from kicking me right in the heart! π¦
I really need to read Shatter Me. It's been on my TBR for awhile, but I never seem to get to it. You ever get the feeling that certain books hide among your various piles/shelves and plot with other books which series will be read next? *lol*

I haven't read the Lux series or the Shatter Me series yet, because I've been trying to save them – I know they're ones that I'm going to fly through, but I think I'm going to love them too!
