Monday Musings (2/15)

Musing Mondays is a weekly meme hosted by A Daily Rhythm that gives you prompts to answer.
This week I’m going to do “I blogged about ______ this past week.”

Me Before You by JoJo Moyes – I posted a book review on this book. This book is everywhere right now since the trailer to the film has been released. After watching the trailer I knew I had to get my hands on this book and give it a go. I spent an entire Sunday sitting on my butt and reading. This book was so good and so sad and I can’t wait to see the movie. Especially because I think the cast looks amazing.
Seven Ways We Lie by Riley Redgate – I was approved for this book on NetGalley. The cover is quite appealing as well as the concept. You would think that 7 POVs would be confusing but it actually works for this one!
Top 5 Wednesday: Books You Were Spoiled For – I enjoy this weekly book meme. Go to Goodreads and join the group if you haven’t already!
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer – Another book review. I know this series is not “new” but I finally got my hands on the first book in the series. I honestly had no idea what it was about going into it but I knew that there was a lot of hype around it. I can’t wait to read the second one!

Friday Beginning & The Friday 56 – I participated in my first week of these weekly memes. They seem like so much fun and can’t wait to participate each Friday. It’s so cool to see the books others have chosen and it opens your eyes to books that aren’t on your radar.
Stacking the Shelves – My 2nd Stacking the Shelves post! It’s so cool to see what goodies everyone is getting. You also get to see the trend in what book is circulating that week.
The City of Bones by Cassandra Clare – Last but not least I listened to the audiobook of City of Bones for the past week. I didn’t want to invest in the series but I thought I would give the series a try so I opted to listen to the audiobook whilst doing college assignments. I don’t know if I’m going to continue with the series…
This weeks random question: Do you read more than one book at once? Why, or why not?
I read more than one book at once. With the larger books that are like 800+ pages it’s hard to sit down and fully invest my time to it. As little “breathers” I’ll read a shorter novel in between. Also, if I receive a new book that I am really excited for I will drop all the books that I am reading and binge on it. And sometimes you just want to take your time with books and fully digest it so you read it slowly over a month or two.
What’s on your blogs this week? Do you read more than one book at once? Comment below and link up your Musing Monday post for me to check out!

I try not to read more than one book at once. I like to finish what I started before I move on.

  3. I do occasionally read more than one book at a time, when they are very different, or like yours, when one of them is a long one you will spend a lot of time with.

Definitely agree with them being different! I especially do that with a YA book then an adult book. Or a series and a stand alone.

It's nice to find places where we can expose our addiction without judgement:) those books looked very interesting but the only trouble with memes like this – my wish list grows forever longer:)

The two Friday weekly memes seem fun – I might check those out and participate in them. Sorry you didn't like City of Bones too much! But I'm glad you enjoyed Me Before You – I really want to read that one.
