New year, new books.
College starts up again next week so I’m not going to pick out a lot of books for this month because I know I’ll be pretty busy with school work. But since it is the beginning of the semester the courseload might be a little slow for a bit so I am hoping I can get sneak in a few books.

Plum Island by Nelson DeMille. This is a book that I picked up based on the cover. The minimalistic design brought me in and the “potential contagion leak on an island” sold me. So far it’s about a cop on convalescence named John Corey who is asked by a friend to help investigate a double murder. The two victims that were murdered worked on Plum Island which is a biological research facility that looks into how certain viruses and infections are the way they are. A lot assume they are building biological weapons. Was the death based on their work on the island or was it a regular homicide?

Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon. I’ve recently picked this book up again. I’d say I’m about halfway through. I know the new season is coming out soon and I don’t want to get spoiled. This is the second book in the Outlander series and I really hope I can finish this in the month of January.
I really don’t think I’ll get past more than these two books as they are fairly large. But if I do have time I will definitely pick a lighter/shorter read.
Do you have any suggestions?
